24 Hours of Disneyland Food: A Delicious (and Disastrous) Adventure!
Join us on a whirlwind culinary adventure through Tokyo Disneyland! The goal: to eat only Disneyland food for 24 hours and rate the experience. Get ready for some weird and wonderful snacks, plus a few surprises along the way!
Getting Disney Ready
First things first, it's time to get Disneyfied! The mission begins with finding the perfect pair of ears. Pink fur with a white bow are the chosen ones, along with rainbow ears for the sister. Time to embrace the Disney spirit!
Trying the Tik Tok Famous Snacks
Let the food adventure begin! First up are the muchhyped alien mochi.
Alien Mochi (Strawberry Flavor)
These little guys have a unique texture, but the strawberry flavor is surprisingly good, even for a strawberry skeptic! Score: 8/10
More Mochi Flavors: Chocolate & Vanilla!
Turns out there are different flavors! Chocolate takes the top spot. The sister got her own Vanilla version.
Strawberry Mousse
This one's a bit of a miss. The jellylike texture is odd. Score: 5/10 due to weird texture.
Mini Pizza (Vegetarianized)
The meat is removed to make it vegetarianfriendly. Smells amazing! Score: 7/10
Mystery Soda
What flavor is it? It was a total guess. Turns out to be peach flavored and very fizzy. Score: 6/10
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich and a Tropical Lolly
After the underwhelming ride, it was time to try a Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich!
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich
This is a winner! The cookies and cream combination, with little dark chocolate cookie pieces, is delicious. Score: 9/10
Tropical Fruit Lolly
Tastes strongly of mango. Score: 7/10, because ice lollies generally aren't a favorite.
Hotel Room Snack Haul
A trip to a gift shop results in a haul of interesting Japanese snacks to try back at the Alice in Wonderland themed hotel room. Let the weirdness commence!
Colorful Balls & White Ribbon
These are... interesting. The colorful balls have a strange, mushy texture, reminiscent of jelly canned chicken and a lychee flavor. Score: 2/10. The white ribbon things got a zero for flavor and texture.
Strawberry O Gummies
The texture is bizarre, but the taste is surprisingly decent. Score: 6/10. These actually become quite enjoyable after the initial weirdness.
Pizza Crisps
Do they taste like pizza? Not really. More like cheesy garlic crisps. Score: 6/10.
Mystery Max Candy
Claims to be 120 Max... of something? Turns out to be minty and gingery, like a cough drop. Some liked it and some didn't, maybe they have bought a cough site.
Day 2: Waffles and More!
Still within the 24hour window, it's time for more Disneyland eats. Waffles are on the agenda!
Ice Cream (with Glitter!)
A simple but satisfying choice. Chocolate and Vanilla are the best choice of the day.
Room Service to the Rescue
An hourlong queue for popcorn was a nogo, so it was time for room service. Tomato and basil pasta and spaghetti were served.
The pasta got an 8/10 rating!
The Unexpected Twist: Food Poisoning!
Unfortunately, this food adventure took a turn for the worse. After the pizza, food poisoning struck, resulting in a very unpleasant experience. The rest of the plans to go to Disney Sea were scraped. The exact culprit remains unknown, but a cautionary tale is definitely learned.
